Essence Universal: a mama owned and operated business since 2001.
Originally located in Oakland, CA, Essence Universal has recently re-located to the Atlanta Metro area.
Essence Universal began as a quest for herbal allies for my family.
After creating healing products for my daughter and experiencing inspiration from other mamas; the world of herbal creations began to bloom.
While partnering in a retail store in Oakland, CA, a dear and respected friend suggested that we add new images to our collection of Tz.
Specifically; she mentioned revolutionaries. The T-shirts were enthusiastically welcomed, by folks who sought alternative forms of expression.
As a mama, (there were three at this time of the story) I never felt comfortable putting a “swoosh” or dim-witted characters across my babies’ chests.
So, EU began to offer the Tz in youth and babes sizes.
My assortment of "hand crafted" mama and baby creations began to grow as my fourth child brought the slings and a revival of the bibs (initially inspired by my mama!).
Every item offered by Essence Universal has been utilized by my family and friends, so enjoy and inspire!
